Komala is the Governors Public Health Alliance’s Operations Associate. She brings to the role experience in campaigns, health policy expertise, and advocacy, with a focus on the historical implications of inequitable policies. Previously, Komala served as a consultant for a variety of governments and organizations, including the National Health Service in the UK and the London School of Economics. Her research interests have focused on the use of mobile health clinics, how to build pandemic and health systems resilience, and the economic drivers of health inequalities. Komala has also worked at the CDC in Washington, D.C., the U.S. Senate Committee on Aging, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Medical Ethics and Health Policy, and has supported political campaigns in Colorado and Georgia. She holds a B.A. from Cornell University and a Master of Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School.
